Nawab Shah (H.A) On the occasion of the 50th Golden Jubilee of World Environment Day, an awareness rally was organized in Nawab Shah today under the title (Only One Land) by the Environmental Protection Department Shaheed Benazirabad and the District Administration under the leadership of Regional Incharge of SEPA Gul Amir Sumbal and Assistant Commissioner Nawab Shah Muhammad Iqbal Tanio from DC Office to Press Club. The rally was attended by District Education Officer Qurban Ali Rahu, Additional Director Health Dr. Asadullah Dahri, Assistant Director HM Khawaja Library Mir Khan Zardari, Deputy Director Information Ghulam Abbas Gorahu, Additional Director Social Welfare Muhammad Sabir Qureshi, besides officers of various departments including Police, Education, Health, Local Government, Wildlife, Revenue, Treasury and representatives of social organizations. The participants of the rally had placards and banners in their hands on which slogans related to environmental protection were written. At the end of the rally, the speakers addressed the rally participants and said that protecting the environment is a shared responsibility of all of us, so we should take steps to protect our environment and plant as many trees as possible so that the negative impacts on the earth can be prevented. They added that the aim of celebrating World Environment Day on June 5 by the United Nations is to clean the earth from pollution and make it habitable for humans and all living beings. The speakers added that due to environmental pollution, various diseases are increasing, as well as natural disasters are also increasing, so we should all give up the use of plastic bags and increase eco-friendly activities. Later, saplings were planted at the DC office by the Regional Incharge of SEPA Gul Amir Sumbal, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Iqbal Tanio, District Education Officer Qurban Ali Rahu, officials of government departments and representatives of social organizations in cooperation with the Forest Department.
