A textile mill reprimanded for discharging wastewater
Hyderabad: Director General Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) Naeem Ahmed Mughal, along with Regional Incharge SEPA Hyderabad Imran Ali Abbasi and the technical team of the region, visited Jamshoro site Nooriabad and conducted a detailed environmental inspection of the factories.
Regional Incharge Hyderabad SEPA Imran Ali Abbasi issued orders to close Asia Chipboard Factory and Best Board Chipboard Factory involved in air pollution. Meanwhile, on a public complaint, DG SEPA Naeem Ahmed Mughal visited Surti Textile Mill and conducted its environmental inspection and warned the Surti Mill administration for discharging wastewater without cleaning it, saying that there should be zero discharge of wastewater outside the mill and that the wastewater should be treated and used.
On this occasion, Regional Incharge of SEPA Hyderabad Imran Ali Abbasi told the media that any factory or industry that does not implement the law of SEPA Act 2014 will be subject to legal action under the SEPA Act. And such actions will continue in the future as well.
